Irresistible Blow is energy based, so you don't need to charge adrenaline to be able to use, and since alot of people carry evade and block in the form of stances or echantments, Irresistible Blow is a nice way to connect through those and in the right situation, it knocks them down with the extra damage.

mortalis doleo is suggesting to you to replace Aftershock with Holy Strike and put points into Smite.

off the top of my head:
devastating
crushing
mighty
bash
irresistable
frenzy
sprint
rez sig
pure hammerer, chain them up in the exact order I've posted them there. If you want enchant removal, go 12-10-8 into hammer, strength, util. If you want Judge's Insight which is good if you cast before your knocklock chain, go 12-8-10 into hammer, strength, smite. In both these circumstances, take out crushing for your util since you'll probably have eviscerate in your team anyway. I wouldn't suggest much else tbh, aftershock is bad for energy and holy strike is...unneeded.

Bah go for Earthshaker because of the 8 adrenal cost and then holy strike. One more hit for AoE knockdown is worth it. Though aftershock is better with that HS will still do the job just fine. And the weakness is not really needed. Earthshaker then mighty, crushing, bash, holy strike, and thats it. All under frenzy or else bash won't come down right away. 9 smite 9 strength +1 rune and 16 hammer mastery

Except its only GREAT at knocklock damage. Can't counter any stances/enchantments/hexes other than the 5s recharge 1.75s swing time IB.
